Femininity:
The mixture of qualities linked with life-giving and nurturing like gentleness, intuition, motherhood, elegance or creativity are often described as set of female attributes called femininity. Generally, society and culture tend to present woman in various scenes. In opposition to masculinity the ideal woman is passive, dependent, altruistic, emotionally open and impulsive. Moreover the overall landscape views women having more power in the private place, mostly keeping the control over household while men have power in public places. The word femininity has its archetype in mythology and religion which is associated with natural forces and maternal function such as Mother Nature or Mother Earth. As cultural standards are taken into consideration, it could be simply mention that every country considers femininity differently. For example, in Japan women are expected to be modest, marry and engage in housekeeping. Whereas American culture thinks of women as equals to men so they both share roles in family and both have control over money. But remembering the fact that tradition and religion are not in paramount importance of most people, it is worth to underline that for some years other feminine terms gained in popularity. Nowadays society focuses on external qualities that lead to human body. Ideal woman is the one with long legs, big breast, skinny figure and most definitely wearing high-heels.
