Further to your "I know languages" Mex. Your "friend" :) Mirabella108 said above that she "knows" both English and Russian and now she is learning yadda, yadda, yadda, in other words she will soon become a multilingual speaker, which should in fact translate, in my opinion, into nothing but a "non-lingual speaker". You know, neither fish nor fowl.:) We know what her English is like
(as becoming an MA of once mentioned "garden variety" and as judging by her all lousy proofreading).
By the way, as you know "your humble servant" is "highly proficient in Russian", to put it mildly,:) but does this fact make me a bilingual or trilingual speaker while ,in addition, I'm a native pole ? Don't know.
And I think you brought the right question to the fore:
You had better avoid saying : "I know this or that language". :)
