If the government
had been really concerned about our health, it should
have prohibited the production of tobacco at all. It is very sad that
the non-smokers try to use every
opportunity to ban smoking
in our country. As a
non-smoker, who quit smoking one year ago,
and I believe that
the government is obliged to intervene if one person's rights are threatened by other people exercising their own rights in a (physically) harmful and illegal way. Why should
non-smokers or even
children have to pay the price for
smokers' habits. Why should
non-smokers not be able to go
to a public place because smokers
polute the environment. Smokers can
go without smoking, but if a
non-smoker is supposed to eat with smoke all around them,
then it is not enjoyable
for them any more.
However, there should be also some pubs only for smokers and those who don't mind going down to such smoke-filled places.
