Master’s thesis consists of two parts - theory and design.
The theme of the theoretical part concerns characteristic of revitalization of brownfield sites and socio-historical context and analysis of various examples.
Particular attention should be paid to the high level of writer's workshop and the ability to use quotations and footnotes. The text clearly shows complex process of revitalization. A broad approach to the subject allows to understand the functioning of the industrial city and to show range of opportunities offered by regeneration.

The second part of the Master’s thesis is a project of social revitalization center in Zyrardow. Attractive, contemporary and avant-garde building is the way of dialogue with the architecture of the 19th century. A great advantage of the project is to intensify the spirit of the place by preserving the original details and historical forms. This gives an opportunity to create new lively space shaped in accordance with the principle of synaesthesia, both in the architecture and the proposed functions.
The social revitalization center is therefore an excellent example of an unusual coexistence of two architectural quality.

Priority conservation and historical aspect of this dissertation shows author’s interest in protecting cultural heritage. Arguments for this fact are also design decisions in the matter of architecture, urbanism and exhibition of industrial heritage. One of the most valuable features of this dissertation is the ability to use conclusions of the theoretical part to design solutions.
Thesis becomes an attempt to discuss the revitalization projects realized in Zyrardow
It is important to emphasize outstanding artistic values of the proposed solutions, maturity of technique and independence of the author.
