Nowadays, more and more people want to live in the countryside.
Despite the many benefits, living in the country has also its defects.
One major advantage of living in the ouskirts is to be away from the city traffic, noise and pollution. You can lead quiet life. You don’t care about loud music behind the wall.
The next benefit of living there are friendly neighbourhood. Your neighbours are open and very helpfull. In addition, you aren’t anonymouse and all people know each other.
Rural live is associated with lower cost of living. Property prices and land prices costs cheaper than in city. Besides, you can buy very cheap food from the local markets where your neighbours sell all their products. Also you can have your own garden and be more self-sufficient.
On the other hand, living in the country is not a bed of roses.
First of all you are dependent on neighbours. There aren’t any hospitals. When you are injured, only neighbours can help you.
Secondly in the country you live closer to nature. Nature may turn out to be unpredictable and dangerous. Example in the winter, you may end up being snowed in without any chance of getting to work on time or not at all. Nearby river may flood the area where you live.
Furthermore living there you have poor access to shops and entertainment. Generally the shops are located far away from where you live and in markets don’t have as much products as in shops in city. All of entertainment is in the city and if you don’t have a car, you are forced to take the bus.
In addition, there is restricted access to education. Children attending to primary and secondary school haven’t problems but when they want to go to high school they must go to city. Parents may not have time to take children to school themselves.
It appears that living in the country has as many negative aspects as the positive ones. It’s your personal opinion is living in the country good or no. For me living in the country is boring and I never move out from city.
