Witam, Piszę tutorial dla osób uczących się modelować w programie 3ds max. Bardzo proszę o pomoc w sprawdzeniu błędów. Z góry serdecznie dziękuję za pomoc.

How to Create a grass field in 3Ds Max.
This tutorial will tell you, how to create a grass field using the scatter
modifier. However there is a lot of better possibilities for spreading grass blades, i.e.
by using Vray Scatter/MultiScatter or totally automatic function of Autograss, but
these are third party plugins, that need to be purchased.
First of all, we need to create a single blade of grass. We can use line function
and draw it in any vertical view. I choose to draw half of blade in axis of symmetry,
and move its vertex in way, to make it a bit bended. Next step is to attach the copied
mirror of blade and choose the edit poly function. Our blade is no longer a line, now
it is a poligonal model. As the grass on the field vary, by height and shape, we need
to create a few more different blades. I made two more, by copying and added stalk,
growing from its base.
Second, is to spread the grass randomly on desired area. I have made a
rectangle for that. So, use the scatter modifier and pick the first made blade as
source, and your desired surface as the distribution object. Duplicate it, as many as
you like and change the rotation and scaling parameters, to gain more natural look.
I encourage to display only a percent of all made objects to preserve computers
memory. Do the same steps with rest of blades made before. For rest of my blades, I
also used a turbosmooth modifier with few iterations, so they are less angular.
In the end, I have to say that it is the most basic way that i know, to create the
grass field. This time, simpliest doesnt mean best. Many other plugins give You
more ways to control the spread and need less computing power. What I like about
Vray Scatter (or Multiscatter) is an ability to spread instances only across the field
of view of the camera. That preserves the memory. There is also a function of
collision that keep distance or density from other objects. The Autograss plugin is a
most comprehensive for creating green terrains. It is also very realistic, when used
smartly. You can change variations of density, lenght, cutoff, thatch and direction
even according to map. That provides you with mapping and variation to produce
special effects like worn-out trails and lawnmover paths.
