Katharina Pfeil felt the call of creation when she was very small, she had been expressing their ideas through drawings, stories and melodies. Attracted by the crafts, fashion, ceramics, painting, illustration and design, Katharina is professionally dedicated to the scenery in San Francisco (USA). From the 19 years the artist had been working on creating sets for the theater and cinema learning the infinite possibilities of the use and combination of materials. After her return to Germany, Katharina created a catering company and in 1996 with a group of artists set up a studio in Cologne where she began her first artwork, exhibiting her works publicly in the days of “open door studios”. In 1999 she moved to Mallorca. Since then the island has been the site of intense creation for the artist. In 2008 she exhibited at ABA ART LAB Palma contemporary art entitled “BIOS Input Output System “where through the destruction, construction, suffering and liberation, Pfeil was weaving existential cyclical changes necessary to human evolution” . In 2010 she appeared at Palmyra Sculpture “one BIOS Creation, systmes” and her last exhibition in 2011 entitled “BABY SOUP” Can Gelabert Binissalem. Now the artist returns to the ABA ART LAB with a new project for the Nit de l’Art titled God’s laboratory.
