Dear Mr Johnson,
The aim of this proposal is to answer to your invitation to express our views on your plan of a ban of all cars from the city centre centre because of problems with traffic, pollution and accidents and suggest a sollution in order to solve this problem.
Firstly, it is very hard not to agree with your view on a big number of problems caused by heavy traffic in the city centre but at public meeting last saturday many people expressed their objections against this plan. One of many comments, which I noticed was from parents who have school-age children. They claim that a car is only way of taking the children to school safe and quickly. It is true, that there are many different schools in our city but often it is very hard to get in some spots for the youngest citizenships of the town. Another objection was expressed by the owners of the shops in the town centre, who are afraid that their shops will be closed because people will be deciding to do shoping in places where it is easier to get. Also, any of the attendees think that public transport is too expensive and inefficient for them.
Regarding all your claims on this case, I would like to suggest a several ideas which might be useful for you. Firstly, to encourage people to use buses instead of their own cars you have to show that this is more profitable and comfortable for them. Firstly, please take in consideration a reduction in prices of public transport tickets, placing more bus stops which may improve the efficiency. In my opinion, higher usage of public transport despite the lower prices will also be beneficial for you. In addition, think about radical increase in parking fees in the most crowded areas and a little less increase in less congested ones.
What do I really want
Looking at conteprorary society and people's approach to life, it is not too hard to notice that everybody is focused very much on achieving successes in every aspect its every aspect.
Everyone wants to be well-looking, rich, have expensive car, big and stylish house with an own swimming pool, go away for a long and exclusive vacation every year, bring up polite children, provide them with many extra curricular activities and who are to be doctors, lawyers and married to as successful person like them in the future. Sometimes it seems that a person who is not successful, rich and popular is a loser and his life is senseless. Without doubt, to some point, such an opinion has the advantages because may be a motivation for people to fulfill their dreams, fight for their place in the world and be happy but it becomes a problem when it is like an obssesion for people and is a reason of depressions, workaholism, negligence in famili life's cases, many hazardous illnesses like a heart atack or even suicide in the case of people who can not cope with the stress and pressure. Also, many people who seeks to have more and more successful lives, not even want it, they only act like the whole world want they to. It might sound too dramatical but in my opinion, we lose ourselves in this madness. Many people forget the meaning of the phrase "being a human".
To be sincere altogether, if I am to answer to a question "What I do want to achieve in next ten years", my answer is to be happy without losing a common sense. I think that I am able to say that the most important in my life are people who I care about and a positive approach to the world. When it comes to more specific things, my targets are: to graduate from university, find not too big but a cosy place to live, have a job which will make me happy and enjoy my simple regular life as long as possible.
