Celem niniejszej pracy jest zbadanie potencjału Chin, do bycia mocarstwem regionalnym i globalnym. W związku z tym w poniższej pracy analizie poddane zostaną czynniki wewnętrzne oraz zewnętrzne wpływające na możliwość odgrywania takiej roli. Istotnym elementem będzie prześledzenie zmian w chińskiej polityce zagranicznej oraz zestawienie potęgi Państwa Środka z podmiotami aspirującymi do tych samych celów: Stanami Zjednoczonymi, Rosją, Indiami, Japonią. Równie ważnym elementem stanie się zbadanie roli jaką odgrywają Chiny w regionie Azji Wschodniej poprzez badanie ich stosunków z: Rosją, Indiami, Japonią, Koreą Północną oraz Południową.

Therefore, the following work will analyze the internal and external factors to influence possibility to play that role. Following the changes in Chinese foreign policy and to juxtapose the power of the Middle Kingdom with countries aspiring to the same purposes: the United States, Russia, India and Japan, will be important element of this case. Another element will be study the role of China in East Asian by looking into their relations with: Russia, India, Japan, North and South Korea.
