Fatal Speed
A loud crash was heard 20th December, Friday at gates of Merchant Bank in Kingsley Road. The accident between a school bus and silver Volvo happened in the morning rush hour.
The Volvo S80 driven by Ann Feber skidded out of control end crashed into school bus, which gave children a lift to school. The woman tried to control the car, but it was no use. Her speed was at over 90 km/h at the time of the crash. Feber's vehicle caught fire and she died at the scene of the crash. The bus driver was flown to hospital, where he died about an hour later.
Witnesses to the accident were in a state of shock. 'Both cars are a complete wreck! Fortunately, that children are ok!' said an eye-witness, tears welling up in his eyes. Police have once again issued warnings to all drivers: 'Speed kills'.
