” Cars enslave us rather than liberate us”

Car takes us anywhere and anytime and it is one of the most revolutionary inventions in the history. The automobile has been the most used mobile in the world and is considered to be a daily necessity for getting around. Cars are no longer just vehicles: they are our homes, even extensions of ourselves. In my opinion people cannot imagine live without the car that is why I firmly believe that we have become slaves of cars.
Car gives many liberties like going where we want and whenever we want but it is also very restrictive, because it costs a lot of money to buy and maintain while using public transport is more convenient financially. Furthermore if you are in big cities, you would have to factor in the cost of parking, which could be a lot depending on the areas where you go by car. Also spare parts are pricey and many people often are under the budget to repair a broken vehicle. Taking everything into account I am convinced that cars are not worth so much money.
It seems to me that the car becomes a status symbol. The auto-mobile is an indicator of wealthy. Many people want to have a fancy car only to impress others. The car represents the role of a luxury item that not everyone can obtain which is not good because it is might caused a division of society into poor and wealthy.
Moreover I strongly believe that people have become lazier by having a car. If did not have a car we would be more athletic and fit, because it is appropriate for our health to walk about 3 miles per day. It seems to me that life would be longer if we did not use cars for the daily movement from one place to another.
On the other hand I agree with that the car plays the role of being the major mode of transportation to the primary places and moreover makes life easier and less time-consuming. They are giving people freedom in the sense that they can go further away from home by their own car. Personal independence derived from having a car means people can go for shopping, work and other places at anytime without depending on fixed schedules of public transport.
Taking everything into consideration I think we have become slaves of cars. This vehicle could be completely unnecessary in our lives if we were not lazy and we had more spare time for walking and cycling. I am fully aware that the car makes life easier but in my opinion it has more negative effects than positive.
(brak przedimka) Car takes us anywhere and anytime and it is one of the most
revolutionary inventions in the history (in the history of WHAT?). The automobile has been the most used 'mobile' (mobile CO?) in the world and IT is considered to be a daily necessity for getting around.
In my opinion people cannot imagine 'live' (tutaj ma byc rzeczownik a napisalas czasownika) without the car AND that is why I firmly believe that we have become slaves of cars.
Car gives many liberties like going where we want and whenever
we want(przecinek przed 'but') but it is also very restrictive, because it costs a lot of money to buy and maintain while using public transport is more
convenient financially. Furthermore if you are 'in big cities' (chyba nie mozna byc w 'cities' w tym samym czasie), you would have to factor in the cost of parking, which could be a lot depending on the areas where you go by car. Also spare parts are pricey and many people often are under 'the' (zly przedimek) budget to repair a broken vehicle.
The auto-mobile is an indicator of 'wealthy' (zla czesc mowy). Many people want to have a fancy car only to impress others. The car represents the role of a
luxury item that not everyone can obtain which is not good because it
is might 'caused' (tutaj czas teraz.) a division of society into THE poor and THE wealthy.
If (ale KTO? tutaj brakuje) did not have a car we would be more athletic and fit, because it is appropriate for our health to walk about 3 miles per
day. It seems to me that 'life would be longer' (zly sens zdania, nie 'life' ale 'people would live longer') if we did not use cars for the daily movement from one place to another.
On the other hand I agree with (WHAT? tutaj brakuje) that the car plays the role of being the major mode of transportation to the primary places and moreover makes life easier and less time-consuming. They 'are giving' GIVE people freedom in the sense that 'they' (do kogo? to sie odnosi? nie jest wyrazne czy 'car' czy 'people') can go further away from home by their
own car. Personal independence derived from having a car means people
can go 'for' (niewpotr) shopping, TO work and TO other places 'at' (niepotr) anytime without depending on (przedimek) fixed schedules of public transport.
BARDZO dziekuje!:*
