"Independence Day" is a science-fiction film. It was directed by Ronald Emmerich, who works especially in the disaster and action genres of films. Will Smith - very talented actor - plays the character of Steven Hiller, a pilot of the US Marine Corps. Another actors, who play in "Independence Day" are, for example, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman and Randy Quaid.
On 2nd of July a few strange, giant objects comes from the space and enters Earth's atmosphere. Then, the objects takes a position above the largest cities of Earth. It appears, that these objects are spacecrafts of aliens, who want have our planet under control. Fight between two civilisations begins!
In my opinion, the film is excellent. "Independence Day" is the one of my favourite movies! The special effects are amazing, despite the film was recorded in 1996. The ending isn't suprising, however it's happy as well as touching. Masterly is the play of actors, too. I recommend this film to all of science-fiction fans.
