Parę zdań (z różnych ćwiczeń):

Is Derek what you are upset with?

4. emphasis - WHY do you always drive so fast?
Nie mam pojęcia jak postąpić, kiedy mam położyć nacisk na "why". Może ktoś dać jakiś przykład? To spróbuję to zdanie napisać sama.

It's Kate who deserves the highest mark.

Myślałam nad czymś z "so that", ale jakoś mi tu nie pasuje. Proszę o jakąś podpowiedź ;d

1. Advantageous genetic traits are passed on to successive/consecutive
>generations. W ogóle nie wiem, który wyraz wybrać. Jaka jest między
>nimi różnica?
>
chyba tylko 'kolokacyjna' - 'successive generation' wydaje sie byc stalym zwiazkiem wyrazowym w j.ang

>2. Technical innovations of the modern industrial time/age have
>changed the way we live and work. AGE
>
zgadza sie - tak, jak wyzej standardowa kolokacja

>3. emphasis - Are you upset with DEREK?
> Is Derek {(that)} you are upset with?
>
>4. emphasis - WHY do you always drive so fast?
> Nie mam pojęcia jak postąpić, kiedy mam położyć nacisk na "why".
>Może ktoś dać jakiś przykład? To spróbuję to zdanie napisać sama.
>
moze:
Why is it (that) you always drive so fast?

>5. emphasis - KATE deserves the highest mark.
> It's Kate who deserves the highest mark.
>
wyglada ok

>6. emphasis - HE paid her rent for her.
> It's him who paid her rent for her.
>
wyglada ok, ale forma 'him' jest kolokwialna; moze daj 'he'

>7. transformation - NASA is cutting back its spending on observation
>satellites to concentrate on space exploration. SO
>NASA is cutting back its spending on observations satellites ...... be
>concentrated with.

>jakąś podpowiedź ;d
moze:
NASA is cutting back its spending on observation satellites {so that space exploration can} be concentrated with.
co znaczy 'concentrated with'?
>co znaczy 'concentrated with'

ja nie wiem, ale wiem co oznacza 'concentrated on'
moze i chodzi w 4 ale mamy na 'WHY' dac focus tak ?
Dziękuję wszystkim za pomoc. :) Odnośnie tego "concentrated with" to mój błąd, źle przepisałam, powinno być oczywiście "concentrated on".

Mam jeszcze prośbę o sprawdzenie także tych zdań:

Myślałam nad "had been", ale wtedy byłoby chyba "had he been", a w dodatku nie mogłoby być "when" w tym zdaniu, czy źle myślę?

9. This 3rd programme in the TV series presented by the X documents the events during Henry's reign and then reigns of his children, _which___ saw the nation's history change dramatically. (do wyboru - what, whether, which, whoever)
