Jak powiedzieć "Los tak chciał"?

Witam,

Mam, być może, dość proste pytanie. Jak powiedzieć "Los chciał, abym znalazł się w drugiej grupie"? Czy tłumaczenie "The fate wanted me to be in a second group" nie jest zbyt dosłowne?

Albo zamiast "fate" możesz powiedzieć coś takiego: I guess I was meant to be in the second group.

Lub tak:
Fate wanted, have been placed I in second (other) group in order to?

The lot limps on me to put me in the second group. The fate caused lots to be cast out, to know who should be in the second group.. /lots were cast "n" it fell on me...
