Introduction
The main objective of this report is to depict a typical Polish school presenting its characteristic features as well as best qualities that make them compare favourably with overseas schools.
Food for children
However poor Polish school facilities are, a great majority of them possess a canteen and the food served there really stands out. Not only does it provide pupils with necessary nutrients but also it is relatively cheap and affordable. Thanks to the enriched diet, children get used to fruit and vegetables, which will have an inevitable effect on their health.
Dress code
It it typical of our national schools to have a dress code. Such a code has been revived as a mark of repect for the teaching staff and to dodge prospective conflicts between better-off children and their poorer counterparts as schools are believed no to be a catwalk show.
Friendly atmosphere
As most schools are medium-sized and they are capable of teaching no more than 600 pupils they are considered a good place to form a 'school-family' where no one is left without individual approach and such a cosy atmosphere undoubtedly facilitates the communication between staff and students themselves.
Future developments
There are plenty of things that call for improvement, the most burning of wchich is the appearance of Polish schools. Being old and neglected they do not encourage youngsters but scare away instead. The quality of teaching is also what ought to be improved once theachers are becoming more and more lenient.255
