Should animals be kept in the zoo? This question interests many people and animals-lovers. Children want to be the zoo, because they like admireing animals. However, zoo has advantages and disadvantages.
The maina advantage, the zoo is very useful, because it is chance of survival for same rare animals speciec such as gorilla and giant panda. In thanks of the zoo animals, which die out in the wild can live and breed in captivity.
What is more, animals in captivity willl not be killed by hunters, because it is very common and popular in the wild mainly for tusks, leathers and horns, which are very valuable.
Furthermore, if there was not the zoo, most people wolud never see many animals species from a small distance. It is very important, because the zoo is only chance to see them.
On the other hand, the zoo can be a real torture for animals, because they need open space. In captivity animals spend every day of their life in cages. In the wild they walk kilometers a day, but in the zoo they walk a few meters a day.
In conclusion, I think that the zoo in needed, but unfortunately it have disadventages.
