Spr pracy domowej

Hej, mam jeszcze jedną (ostatnią uff) pracę i znów proszę Was o sprawdzenie

On the picture we can see a wood. There are some trees and roe-dears. Everything is very calm. There is a sunrise in the background. Animals are looking on the sun. One of the roe-dears is in the middle of picture. I think it is a leader. He is standing between two big trees which looks like “a wood’s gate”. There is autumn on the picture.
I think it is very beautiful place. Animals feel safe, it is calm around. I believe, that it is a place without people, that why this picture is so idyll. But when I look on right part of the picture, I see destroyed trees and I feel that this paradise is slowly ending and this sunrise can be last for these roe-dears. This picture makes me very confused: I feel happiness, danger, longing, freedom…
When I am looking at this picture I am thinking about our world, about pollutions, big cities and people population. I think this scene could happen 1000 years ago on a place, where my home is standing now. People made a big damage on this world and they are still doing this.

I jeszcze jedno: w pierwszym zdaniu powinno być FOREST nie WOOD :D

might AS well be ... czy samo well wystarczy ? do tej pory pomyslałbym, ze to blad, ale nie wiem.

i na koncu, czy nie lepiej byłoby uzyc present p. ? People have made... :)

Co do pierwszej sprawy, to pzyznam, że pisząc nie rozważałem tego wariantu. Po zastanowieniu:

might well be - mogłoby to być (wprawdzie z niedużym przekonaniem) - tu mógł stać mój dom

might as well be - mogłoby to również być - mógłby tu stać mój dom (ale nie sądzę, że mój konkretnie, może tylko taki jak mój tu stał)

Mam nadzieję, że mglistość wyjaśnienia prawidłowo zniechęca do traktowania go jako autorytatywne :)

this can/could/may/might WELL be... = to rownie DOBRZE moglby byc... jest ok

Powiem tak, nie wiem kto to napisal, nawet jezeli byla to rodowita Angielka, ale ja raczej trzymalbym sie wersji pobranej przeze mnie ze slownika;
poza tym w Corpusie byly tylko 2 przyklady takiego uzycia, jak na stronie przez Ciebie podanej, i ponad 2400 z, wedlug mnie, poprawnym uzyciem 'well be'

might well be = calkiem mozliwe, ze jest
might as well be - rownie odbrze mogloby to byc (cos innego niz wczesniej wymienione).
