Dzień dobry, bardzo proszę o sprawdzenie kilku zdań po angielsku, niestety nie idzie mi najlepiej nauka tego języka);

I study Polish philology at the University... I got good grades. My average for the last year of studies is 4.5. I am writing to apply for a scholarship to study in Hungary. I am interested in this possibility because I'm writing a master’s thesis on bilingualism polish children living and studying in Hungary. These studies will enable me to develop my personal, linguistic and scientific skills. I could improve my level of Hungarian language, which is at a basic level now. But first of all stay in the Hungarian university will be allowing me to gather a wider research material for my thesis. I have already in contact with the coordinator of the department of Slavic studies at ELTE University in order to best construct a plan of my studies and find the right level for my classes, lectures, courses. I feel that I am suitable candidate for this scholarship because I am a very ambitious person. I’m a person whose motto is „learn one new thing everyday” which makes every new „why” is another adventure, a new journey and discovery for me.

'I got good grades' (nie widze potrzeby tego zdania, i do tego 'got' nie jest za ladnie). My average GRADES for the 'last year' (czy to ma znaczyc, ze juz skonczylas - to napisz wyrazniej - for my 3rd year) of studies 'is' ARE 4.5. (tylko, trzeba sie zastanowic, czy to cos dla nich znaczy - dla mnie nie za bardzo, bo ja tylko rozumiem 2.I, 2.2 albo 3rd)

I agree with terri. One comment on the 1st sentence, though.

What do you study? Quite common mistake. The correct alternative would be:
